As we receive many questions, on the closing and opening of the entrance to Holy Cross Cemetery we have approved by motion, that each fall, the chain will be put up once we receive a significant snowfall. lt will remain in place, until the spring thaw is complete. This is to protect the grounds from vehicles sinking in the soft soil, or causing damage to the property.

 

Our account billing person will ensure that bills are issued for the costs associated with Burials and Lot Purchases. As this is our only source of income, it is important that we receive payment in a timely manner in order to insure we maintain both Cemeteries (Holy Cross & St. Joseph's on the hill at Convent Street).

 

The bills we issue are for the Purchase and Opening & Closing of the Lots. These bills are separate from the Funeral Home invoice.

 

Our current prices for the plots are as follows:

• One Grave Lot: $625.00

• Two Grave Lot: $1000.00

• Three Grave Lot: $1375.00

• Four & Five Grave Lots are available upon request.

• All above prices are subject to HST

   

The price for Opening & Closing a Grave is as follows:

 

• Full Burial is $800.00

• Cremation is $500.00

• All above prices are subject  HST 

 

It is from these payments that we can employ our caretaker and summer student, and maintain the Cemetery as a beautiful resting place for our loved ones.
